Our Defence and Security Division team within our Australian business are looking for a strategic and results-driven PMO Director to lead the Program Management Office for a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure initiative. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of complex, multi-year Defence program. The PMO Director will establish governance frameworks, drive performance, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives across all program streams.

Responsibilities

- Establish and lead PMO frameworks to ensure consistent delivery across defence programs.

- Oversee integrated planning, budgeting, and resource management across multiple projects and workstreams.

- Ensure compliance with defence, regulatory, financial, and contractual requirements.

- Lead risk, change, and issue management to maintain program integrity and responsiveness.

- Provide strategic reporting and insights to senior leadership and government stakeholders.

- Foster a high-performance culture, mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement and PMO maturity.

About you

- Proven experience (10+ years) in leading PMOs for large-scale infrastructure or capital programs

- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies

- Demonstrated success in managing complex stakeholder environments

- Expertise in financial oversight, risk management, and performance reporting

- Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or Business
