And that's not all – we provide flexible start and finish times.We welcome the challenge to work in new ways and have trust in you when getting the job done because we recognise, our business is our people.The successful candidate will demonstrate:* Positive and proactive situational leadership of the project team* Management of the delivery of highly complex projects and coordination of project progress and issues with key stakeholders, including Customers, senior managers and executives* Experience in leadership and management of Defence Acquisition programs* Ability to execute programs with autonomy in achieving project success, using escalation where and when appropriate* Definition, development and execution of plans and activities to achieve project objectives and outcomes* Customer focus and ownership of Customer relationships* Proficiency in project management disciplines, including Scheduling, Finance, Subcontracts, Risk and Opportunity* Planning, monitoring and control of project costs to achieve budget expectations and preparation of monthly financial and project status reports for internal and external stakeholders* Excellent written and oral communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders* Behaviours that align with and promote UM’s Alignment, Integrity, and Transparency valuesYou’ll bring high levels of personal motivation and drive, combined with:* Success on high complexity programs with at least 5 years of Defence industry experience* Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or Business (or equivalent)* A calm adaptive approach to managing changing priorities whilst delivering to program commitments* Situational leadership skills to enable effective influencing of the project team and senior level leaders and customers* Experience in management of complex international and domestic subcontracts* Demonstrable knowledge of PMBOK Project Management principles and performance management frameworks, including AS4817 Earned Value Management system and processes* An ability to perform excellently in all areas of Program Management: scheduling, budgeting/cost control, financial reporting, interpersonal skills and customer relationships* A commitment to development and mentoring of direct reports and a desire for them to succeed and progress* Familiarity and proficiency in PM tools and software, including MS Project or Open Plan Professional, MS Word, MS Excel, Risk Predict (or equivalent)* Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance**Why it’s great to work for Ultra Maritime*** Work a 9 day/ fortnight;* Option to purchase additional leave;* Employee Assistance Program;* Wellbeing Program;* Free on-site car parking;* Free coffee/ tea/ soft drinks and fruit;* CFS/ SES/ Reservist Paid Leave; and* Professional development and study assistance, to name a few....We really want you to be able to shine in the application process, so we can see what your strengths are; as such we are happy to be flexible around our process.* Click on the ‘Apply’ button.* Send a Resume and Cover Letter detailing your relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.#MARNationality RequirementsThe successfully appointed candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a current Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1).Diverse & Inclusive EmployerUltra Maritime is an employer that values diversity, inclusion, equity and equality.
