Overview

This well-established national civil contractor is a leading Tier 2 contractor who work within resources, local authorities and main roads projects across Australia. Led by a team of highly skilled professionals within the industry, this contractor is experienced across multiple disciplines including roads, earthworks, drainage and concrete structures.

Project

This green field project consists of major roadworks and structures for TMR on a local Gold Coast job valued at $900M. You will play a key role as an experienced Project Engineer in either civils or structures mentoring a team of other Engineers. You will liaise with the client ensuring that the program is met and coordinate with the Supervisor maintaining a positive relationship between site staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

- Subcontract management
- Planning, programming & resourcing
- Progress claims & variations
- Reporting on a weekly & monthly basis
- Managing junior engineers

Requirements

The successful individual must have a proven track record of delivering projects to DTMR specifications and quality standards with a civil contractor in similar conditions on medium to large projects. A minimum of 4 years main roads – TMR / Council roads experience and have relevant Civil Engineering tertiary qualifications. It is desirable but not essential to have PUP (Public Utility Plant) experience, or similar utilities (water, gas, network) relocation experience across roads.
