About the role

We're looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our Optus Enterprise team and lead high-value acquisition sales opportunities. You'll work on complex, strategic deals with Tier 1 and 2 clients, shaping digital transformation through tailored ICT and telecommunications solutions. As a trusted advisor to CXO-level stakeholders, you'll build long-term relationships and drive growth in new markets, leveraging the full suite of Optus Enterprise products and services.

The day to day

- Lead and close enterprise-scale acquisition deals across carriage and ICT solutions
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key client stakeholders, including C-suite executives (CEO, CIO, CFO, etc.)
- Form and manage virtual deal teams across the business and partner ecosystem
- Develop and execute robust opportunity and account plans, including Win-Labs and sales strategies
- Support demand generation initiatives and guide end-to-end deal pursuits
- Represent the voice of the customer internally to influence product and service outcomes

- Extensive experience in complex deal management, ideally in telecommunications, ICT, or comparable industries
- Strong background in relationship and strategic selling, with consultative sales experience
- Proven success in developing and executing long-term business strategies
- Ability to navigate complex organisational structures and influence senior stakeholders
- High-level communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach
- Tertiary qualifications in a business-related field (desirable but not essential)
