Package: $100,478. Package includes salary ($88,922 per annum) employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role

We/'re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Early Childhood Education and Care students by joining our team of Assessors for the following opportunities:

- Permanent full-time (35 hours per week) - Glendale Campus

- Permanent full-time (35 hours per week) - Nirimba Campus

- Permanent full-time (35 hours per week) - Randwick Campus

- Permanent full-time (35 hours per week) - Shellharbour Campus

- Permanent full-time (35 hours per week) - St Leonards Campus

- Permanent full-time (35 hours per week) - Ultimo Campus

An Assessor is a rewarding and dynamic educational role in the most celebrated education institution in NSW. The Assessor will carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus to support students in achieving the completion of tasks and identify areas that may require further training.

You will work within a team of industry professionals in an engaging environment and provide facilitation to students undertaking work placement. You will also assess students during their simulations for practical skills.

Successful candidates in this role will be required to support students whilst they take on practical experience either in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting or on TAFE NSW campus.

Note: This role does not teach or deliver training.

Essential Requirements

- Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood (AQF level 7) AND a post graduate qualification (AQF level 8) in a related field.

- Evidence of holding the appropriate assessing qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training (see the candidate support document here) OR a willingness to undertake our part time 7 week Paid to Learn Assessor Skill Set course.

- Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience relevant to your industry.

Paid to Learn: for candidates who do not hold an appropriate VET assessing qualification or equivalent, you have the option to be paid to learn as you transition from industry to assessing with guaranteed work following successful completion of the 7-week Assessor Skills Set course. Those who already hold the appropriate assessing qualification or equivalent are still eligible to apply.
