**About the role**

We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals with relevant qualifications and experience in Childhood Education to join our team of Assessors on a full-time, permanent basis across our Sydney Region.

We currently have Assessor positions available in the following disciplines:

- School Based Education Support (SBES) with location negotiable across our Sydney Region
- Early Childhood Education & Care (Higher Education) based at St Leonards Campus
- Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) based at Ultimo Campus
- Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) based at St Leonards Campus

TAFE Assessors carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus on supporting students to complete tasks, as well as identifying areas for further training. Assessors work within a team of industry professionals, in an engaging, collaborative team environment.
- Note_: This role does not teach or deliver training._

**_ About You_**

We are looking for individuals who have the ability to meet the following Essential Requirements:

- Minimum vocational qualifications required:

- SBES: Certificate IV in SBES (Bachelor of Primary / Secondary Education desirable)
- ECEC: Diploma of ECEC (Bachelor of ECEC desirable)
- ECEC (Higher Education): Undergraduate qualification in ECEC + Postgraduate qualification in a related field
- TAE40116 Assessor Skillset or equivalent (minimum) (Higher Education excluded)
- Three years post-qualification experience in Childhood Education, gained no longer than five years ago (minimum)
- Demonstrated ability to assess students against competency-based skills tasks
- Understanding of the content of learning materials and the processes used in the discipline
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional currency
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to provide feedback in an adult learning environment + motivate and encourage students
