Overview

The company: Our client is a national law firm representing clients across a wide variety of construction companies, local authorities, property developers, manufacturers and the public sector. This collaborative team works closely with the other practices groups including Corporate, Construction and Energy & Resources.

About the role

You will work closely with one Partner who is approachable and highly regarded in their field. This team focuses on a collaborative approach with other practice groups and their other teams nationally. This role is a key senior Solicitor or Senior Associate opportunity in a small but highly effective planning and environment practice.

Day to day you will:

- Advise on and work with major developers on mining, resources and major infrastructure projects, both locally and internationally;
- be involved in the entire project life cycle from the approvals, environmental impact assessment, development, urban renewal, environmental compliance and P&E court appeals; and
- exposure not just to Queensland matters but work across Australia and internationally.

Skills/Experience

To be considered for this role you will have:

- between 3-8 years PAE in planning and environment law or energy and resources;
- strong drafting skills and an ability to think outside the box;
- good mentoring skills for working with and delegating to junior lawyers in the team; and
- have excellent client and team building skills for your level.
