Darwin, Australia Glencore International AG Full time

Senior Advisor – Community and Stakeholder Engagement

At Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM), our Communities Social Performance team is at the heart of how we build trust, deliver partnerships, and create positive impact across the Northern Territory. For more than 30 years, MRM has been a major contributor to the Territory economy – providing jobs, supporting local businesses, and working with Traditional Owners and communities while producing world-class zinc, lead and silver for global industries.

We are seeking a Senior Advisor – Community and Stakeholder Engagement to play a critical role in shaping how MRM connects with people, communities and partners across the NT. This is a high-profile position that demands not only engagement expertise, but also insight into social performance and the cultural dynamics that underpin our work in community.

Your Impact

In this role, you will:

- Design and deliver stakeholder and community engagement strategies that strengthen trust and reputation.

- Lead sponsorships and high-profile events that showcase MRM’s commitment to the Territory.

- Build strong, respectful relationships with Traditional Owners, Indigenous organisations, community groups, government and industry partners.

- Provide trusted advice to senior leaders on community engagement risks, opportunities and best practice.

- Develop communication materials for internal and external audiences, ensuring transparency and clarity.

- Apply advanced Excel and project planning skills to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About You

You thrive in environments where no two days are the same and where engagement must be backed by delivery.

You will bring:

- Proven experience in stakeholder and community engagement, ideally within mining, infrastructure, government or related sectors.

- Strong capability in event management and sponsorship delivery.

- Excellent planning, organisation and analytical skills, with advanced Excel capability.

- The ability to navigate sensitive and complex issues with diplomacy, cultural awareness and integrity.

- Demonstrated experience working with Traditional Owners and Indigenous communities.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, community engagement or similar.

What We Offer

- Competitive remuneration with 13% Superannuation.

- Lifestyle Roster (5/2 and 4/3).

- Career development opportunities with one of the world’s leading resources companies.

- Salary sacrificing and Glencore Rewards benefits.

- The opportunity to shape the way MRM delivers social performance and community outcomes in the Territory.

At MRM, we are Territory First. We strongly encourage applications from Northern Territory residents and those ready to relocate and contribute to the Territory’s future.

Apply now and take the lead in shaping the legacy of McArthur River Mine through engagement, partnership and social performance.
