Council of the City of Sydney, Australia Resources Group Full time

Are you a smart, curious insights professional ready to step up and take real ownership of your work? This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing consultancy that’s reshaping how organisations think about the future, and they’re looking for someone who wants to grow into a confident client lead over time.

About the Company

This insights consultancy is in a genuinely exciting period of evolution. With a senior leadership team that has invested heavily in strategy, capability and brand, they’ve built strong momentum – month‑on‑month revenue growth and a clear plan for scaling. They combine deep expertise, strong commercial instincts, and a commitment to developing their people. With senior directors now focused on strategic growth, they’re looking for someone who can step in, own projects, and nurture client relationships, freeing up senior leaders to keep driving the bigger picture.

The Role

This role suits someone with 2–4 years’ experience in market research, insights, or consulting who’s ready to take that next leap.

You’ll work closely with senior experts across commercial strategy, technical excellence, and business development, giving you exposure to high‑calibre mentoring and the chance to master your craft.

You’ll be helping clients across a variety of sectors (automotive, technology and fintech, financial services, health, and government) to answer the big‑picture questions. From there, you’ll help shape the research approach and deliver insights that drive decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing end‑to‑end research projects

- Building and developing client relationships

- Quantitative analysis, interpretation and reporting (Q experience ideal)

- Supporting proposals, scopes and growth within existing accounts

- Ensuring outputs are high‑quality, strategic and actionable

- Working across mixed‑method projects (qual experience a bonus)

What They’re Looking For

- Strong quantitative foundations. You are comfortable with survey design, data interpretation, and hands‑on analysis.

- A quality‑driven mindset with pride in delivering great work.

- Curiosity, commercial awareness, and a proactive, growth‑oriented attitude.

- Someone who wants to be coached into a trusted advisor.

- Comfortable in a collaborative, fast‑moving, future‑focused environment.

- An early adopter of AI or someone who is excited to embrace AI tools in a responsible and strategic way.

Benefits

This is a business that genuinely invests in people. Expect:

- A structured bi‑annual bonus scheme

- Paid parental leave & volunteer days

- An extra day off for your birthday

- Flexible working (plus home office setup provided)

- Weekly in‑office team days with lunch provided

- Social activities, competitions & team events

- Tailored training and development

- Modern offices in North Sydney

Most importantly, you’ll be joining a company that cares about mastery, helping you grow into a confident client lead and trusted advisor.
