About you

Can you drive a car?We’ll teach you to drive a bus

If you’ve had a current, full Australian driver’s licence for at least 2 years and you have full working rights in Australia, our six-week, paid training course will teach you all the skills you need – and at the end you will graduate with your Heavy Rigid licence.

We will also organise and pay for the following to get you on the road:

A National Police Check from Tasmania Police.

Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP).

A pre-employment physical assessment, including a Drug and Alcohol test.

A Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) licence.

About the working experience

We offer:

A competitive salaryof between $70,140 - $94,000 per year for full time drivers, well above the national award

$2,000 Sign-on Bonusmade up of $1000 sign-on-bonus once you pass probation and $1000 once you hit 12 months at Metro

8 weeks of paid leavefor full-time drivers (5 weeks annual, 3 weeks accrued days)
