Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

- 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,
- 2 days from an RACP office location per week,
- 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.

Job Description

About the Role

This position sits within the Curriculum Development unit within the Education Development and Improvement area of the Education, Learning and Assessment team. The Curriculum Development team is responsible for the innovation, development, review and implementation of RACP education programs and curricula.

The primary role of the Education Development Officer is to support the Curriculum Development team to design, develop and review the College’s curricula, education programs and supporting resources in line with agreed educational frameworks, and support implementation of newly-developed curricula across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Key Accountabilities

- Develop and implement strategic frameworks and plans for the revision of College curricula, education programs, assessments, and training program requirements
- Manage, support, negotiate with, and advise specialty groups and committees to develop and review their curriculum and resources, to achieve College standards.
- Design, develop, organise and facilitate workshops and training sessions on curricula development and implementation with College members and other stakeholders.
- Write curriculum content in collaboration with stakeholders and subject-matter experts.
- Develop communication and change management strategies, plans and collateral to support consultation and implementation activities.
- Effectively translate educational concepts and stakeholder feedback into actionable plans and products

Desired Skills and Experience

- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Adult Education, Curriculum Development) and/or extensive relevant experience
- Knowledge of the methods used to research, develop, write and implement educational curricula, training resources or professional/industry-based training programs/systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- High level conceptual, design and analytical skills
- Ability to translate and synthesise complex information
- Ability to design, evaluate and adapt processes
- Ability to design, develop and facilitate workshops
- Ability to coordinate projects with diverse stakeholders
