Our Opportunity
Our Assistant Planner will be supporting the buying and planning process by ensuring efficient actioning of all order, communication with supply base, delivery centre and stores with appropriate allocations of all merchandise. Working in conjunction with the Planner, you will be working closely with the Buyer to plan product flows that will enable the department to achieve set sales plans.
Based in our Cremorne head office, this is a great opportunity to continue to build your fashion planning career within an iconic Australian brand. Your previous experience monitoring and reviewing allocations for stores, plan buying, price and shipment management across apparel categories will support your success in this role.
Bringing your love of fashion to work every day, you will be working with a like-minded, supportive team who each have a passion for fashion. Utilising your strong analytical and numeracy skills, high attention to detail and accuracy and your love of data and problem solving, you will play an important role within our team and brand in driving business success.
Your day-to-day will include:
Work with Planner on SWOT analysis and commentary, presenting to Planner and Buyer
Assist Planner in building and maintaining Assortment Plans and Buy Plans
Monitor store sales performance and review RFC stock with Planner & Merchandise Allocator
Communicate with DC on despatch priorities in weekly despatch meeting
Process order management
Price Markdowns and review further markdowns
Leading Allocator with Distribution DC forecast and container management
Attend and present distribution plans at weekly meetings
Prepare and generate both structured and ad-hoc reports for Planner and Buyers
- Always being an ambassador for the Sportsgirl brand and maintaining effective relationships internally and externally
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Fashion/Design/Merchandising diploma or Business/Commerce degree ideal
Previous experience in a similar role within Planning team fashion retail (apparel) ideal
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, numerical skills
- Competent with MS suite, specifically MS Excel and Word
Strong administration skills
Self-motivated and results-driven
