About the role

The role of the Crew Member Pavements involves competently operating small trucks and other plant items as part of a team. You will perform general labouring duties to maintain roads and related assets, including bitumen, concrete, lawn maintenance and drainage works. The role also includes traffic control, concreting (including formwork, steel fixing and finishing) and pipe laying duties. This position requires providing quality customer service and creating value for the community.

Responsibilities

- Operate small trucks and other plant items as part of a team
- Perform general labouring duties to maintain roads and related assets (bitumen, concrete, lawn maintenance, drainage)
- Traffic control duties
- Concreting tasks including formwork, steel fixing and finishing
- Pipe laying duties
- Provide quality customer service and community value

Qualifications and requirements

- MR Drivers Licence or above
- Current Construction General Induction card (WorkSafe or equivalent)
- Current RMS Traffic Controller Certificate (Blue Card) or willing to obtain
- Current RMS Traffic Control Implementation (Yellow Card) or willing to obtain

Salary and benefits

- Commencing salary up to $63.5K, with progression to a maximum of $73.5K on assessment of skills and performance
- Plus 12% superannuation and Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions
- 9 day fortnight
- Long service leave after 5 years
- Other wellbeing and development opportunities
