About the Role As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. Reporting to the Village Manager, you’ll manage routine maintenance tasks, oversee repairs, and contribute to the overall satisfaction of our residents. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities 1. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and equipment. 2. Address urgent maintenance needs and ensure timely resolution of critical issues. 3. Care for village gardens, mow lawns, and perform general gardening duties to keep the community looking its best. 4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage inventory levels for supplies and tools. 5. Build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff, ensuring professional and respectful communication. 6. Participate in sustainability programs and continuous improvement initiatives. 7. Uphold workplace health and safety (WH&S) standards and contribute to risk management practices. Good physical health, including the ability to lift and move items up to 15 kg. 4. Excellent attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach. 5.
