Job Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Surface Maintenance Planner to join our team at Kanmantoo Copper Mine. This key role is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities for fixed plant assets including crushers, mills, conveyors, and associated infrastructure. About Hillgrove Hillgrove Resources (ASX:HGO) is a growing ASX-listed Australian copper producer with its heart in South Australia. Located in the majestic Adelaide Hills, only 55km from the Adelaide CBD, Hillgrove has operated since 2005 and completed open-pit mining at Kanmantoo in 2020. In 2023 we commenced development of our underground mine and in 2024 completed our transition to underground copper production. Our operation is well capitalised with a 3–3.6Mtpa processing plant, with permitted surface infrastructure in place. Hillgrove is also testing the next suite of high-potential targets. In addition to the Kanmantoo operation, we have a large land holding of granted Exploration Licences in South-eastern South Australia, which are highly prospective for the discovery of economic copper deposits within a variety of geological settings ("South Eastern Copper Project"). Hillgrove supplies critical minerals for a sustainable future, backed by long-standing environmental stewardship and strong stakeholder relationships. With a well-understood ore body and proven metallurgy, we deliver stable performance, deep regional know-how, and active participation in South Australia’s mining community. About the Role Working closely with maintenance, operations, procurement, and warehousing teams, the Surface Planner ensures optimal equipment availability, reduced downtime, and compliance with safety and production targets. You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating routine, shutdown, and long-term maintenance planning efforts. Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Develop and prioritise detailed maintenance plans for fixed plant equipment. Create and manage weekly, monthly, and shutdown schedules aligned with production goals. - Work Order & Resource Management: Generate and maintain accurate work orders in CMMS systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP). Ensure availability of required parts, tools, and labor by coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams. - Data & Reporting: Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs such as backlog, schedule compliance, and downtime. Identify trends and opportunities for improvement through data analysis. - Shutdown Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of shutdowns and turnarounds, including critical path scheduling and cross-team coordination. - Continuous Improvement: Support RCA, FMECA, and reliability initiatives. Recommend improvements to maintenance strategies based on performance data and equipment insights. About you You’re a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. With strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to planning, you/'re able to break down tasks, define clear scopes of work, and align maintenance activities with operational priorities. You/'re highly organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks without losing sight of deadlines or safety requirements. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills help you build effective working relationships across departments — from trades and supervisors to procurement and operations teams. Technically minded, you/'re confident navigating maintenance systems and interpreting technical drawings, while your sound judgment ensures maintenance plans are both practical and efficient. You/'re adaptable and solutions-focused, able to respond calmly and effectively when priorities shift or unexpected issues arise.
