About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant with deep expertise in Defence networking, secure enclaves, and classified systems to support a high-profile program. This role will leverage your knowledge of the Essential Eight, ISM, ACSC, and DISP requirements to uplift and secure critical ICT environments.

Your background in Defence, ideally within Joint Capabilities Group (JCG) or a Security Branch, will provide valuable context in navigating complex secure environments and working across Defence stakeholders. The role will have occasional travel to Canberra as required for Defence stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide expert consulting on Defence secure networking, enclave design, and classified ICT systems.
- Assess, design, and uplift security controls aligned with the Essential Eight, ISM, and ACSC guidance.
- Support the implementation of DISP requirements, ensuring compliance with Defence standards.
- Advise senior Defence stakeholders on cyber security strategy, risk management, and governance.
- Develop technical and architectural artefacts to support accreditation and assurance.
- Mentor and guide project teams on best practice secure ICT delivery within Defence contexts.
- Engage with cross-functional Defence and industry partners to achieve project outcomes.

Key Requirements

- Extensive experience in Defence ICT and security consulting, ideally in Principal/Lead roles.
- Proven knowledge of secure enclaves, classified systems, and Defence networking environments.
- Strong understanding of Essential Eight, ISM, ACSC, and DISP frameworks.
- Background with JCG, CIOG, or Defence Security branches highly desirable.
- Experience navigating Defence accreditation and assurance processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including senior Defence leadership.
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel to Canberra.
