Balmain Rowing Club (BRC), with a proud 142-year legacy on Sydney Harbour, is entering an exciting new chapter. Following a successful period of restoration and revitalisation, we’re experiencing renewed growth in both membership and financial strength. We're now expanding our coaching team to support a newly designed and inclusive rowing pathway.

We’re looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and community-minded individuals to help shape the future of rowing at BRC. You'll join a supportive, inclusive club that values professionalism, maturity, initiative, and a shared passion for the sport.

Coaching Opportunities

Flexible hours | Pathway coaching | Mentorship available. We’re seeking coaches with a passion for working with Masters rowers. You’ll lead or support one of our exciting new programs:

- Get Regatta Ready – For those transitioning into competitive rowing.
- Masters Performance – For experienced rowers looking to sharpen their edge and commit to structured training.

Requirements:

- Rowing Australia Level 1 or 2 coaching accreditation
- Proven experience coaching adults or masters crews
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Coxswain Opportunities

Work with engaged Masters crews | Contribute to race strategies. As a coxswain at BRC, you’re more than just a voice in the boat — you’re a strategist, motivator, and an integral part of our on-water success.

- Get Regatta Ready

You bring:

- Coxing experience (regatta experience highly regarded)
- The ability to motivate, steer, and execute training and racing strategies
- A team-focused attitude and clear communication skills
