Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success.

About the Role

BMA is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts Advisor to join our Central Contracts Team (CCT) in Brisbane. This role plays a key part in supporting Contract Specialists with the practical ownership of on-site services engagements and ensuring compliance with the Contractor Management Framework.

You’ll be a central point of coordination between BMA, our contract partners, and their workforce—including subcontractors—ensuring smooth administration and governance of contracts across our assets.

- Participate in field leadership activities including audits and task observations.
- Administer the team’s BHP VIVA newsfeed to promote the CCT brand.
- Develop ad-hoc Excel templates and dashboards to support reporting and analysis.

About You

- Demonstrated experience in contracts administration or a similar role.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project); SAP and CMS experience preferred.
- Understanding of the Queensland Mining Act and Regulation is desirable.
- Committed to health, safety, environment, and sustainable development.

Supporting a Diverse Workforce

At BHP, we recognise that we are strengthened by diversity. We are committed to providing a work environment in which everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect. We are an Equal Opportunity employer and we encourage applications from women and Indigenous people.

We know there are many aspects of our employees’ lives that are important, and work is only one of these, so we offer benefits to enable your work to fit with your life. These benefits include flexible working options, a generous paid parental leave policy, other extended leave entitlements and parent rooms.
