Overview
The Maternal Health KAM & WH Sales Representative combines expertise in maternal health key account management and pharmaceutical sales to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth. You will be responsible for a sales territory in QLD in primary care, responsible for our contraception and dermatology portfolio. In addition you will be responsible for launching a device for post-partum haemorrhage across QLD hospitals. This role involves strategic business planning, hospital negotiation and contracting, product education and training, and sales execution.
Responsibilities
- Business Planning: Plan and implement commercial strategies for product launches, focusing on achieving revenue targets and implementation of marketing strategies.
- Business Planning: Maximizing product sales and market share across your territory and execution of marketing strategies.
- Business Planning: Develop and execute territory business plans, driving customer reach and frequency for promoted products in primary care setting.
- Business Planning: Develop and execute key account plans, driving uptake of the Medical device amongst public and private hospitals.
- Business Planning: Building and cultivating strategic partnerships with GPs; Obstetricians and key hospital decision makers.
- Business Planning: Delivering impactful product education and support tailored to healthcare provider needs.
- Procurement and Contracting: Maintain expertise in hospital environments and device procurement processes, including hospital network contracting.
- Procurement and Contracting: Develop relationships with hospital administrative staff to support product listings and procurement.
- Education and Training: Conduct consultative sales calls with obstetricians, midwives, health systems, and ancillary staff members, while being product experts for customers.
- Education and Training: Deliver training on a device for post-partum haemorrhage for all relevant customers.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, corporate policies, and ethical standards.
- Compliance: Report product complaints and adverse events and selling products per regulatory requirements.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Outstanding personal selling and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic planning, implementation, and coaching abilities.
- High level of flexibility, resilience, and initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and prescribing software in general practice.
- Demonstrated expertise in hospital-based selling, contracting, and driving new product listings through procurement/value analysis.
- Proven track record in pharmaceutical sales or medical device sales (5+ years), ideally with startup/product launch experience; preferably in Women’s Health.
- Extensive knowledge of the healthcare and hospital environment.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Experience in the women’s health space is highly regarded.
- Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.
- Business development expertise to identify and grow market opportunities.
