Junior HSE Advisor

Overview

PHE Power and Infrastructure is currently seeking a highly motivated Junior HSE Advisor to join our team based out of our Eagle Farm office on a permanent, full-time basis. This position will be a mixture of local and away work. We encourage candidates from across Brisbane and surrounding areas to apply. Based in Eagle Farm, PHE’s Brisbane operations undertakes small- and large-scale project work for iconic clients throughout Brisbane and South-East Queensland. You will be responsible for providing HSE support, training, and building safety knowledge across for our people.

About You

- Diploma OHS qualified or Minimum of Cert IV WHS and TAE
- Internal Auditing training (desirable)
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards and code of practice
- D&A testing qualification or ability to obtain (desirable)
- Return to Work Coordination Qualification (desirable)
- Sound MicrosoftWord and Microsoft Excel skills
- Sound Safety Leadership
- Highly organised with impeccable attention to detail
- Flexible and open to working away from home, as required by the company.

About the Role

- Provide leadership that encourages Work Health, Safety &Environment throughout site to create a continuous improvement culture and implement best practice management systems in the workplace
- Undertake regular training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs in consultation with management team
- Prepare reports, record data, and collect evidence of the site’s compliance
- Provide active management of workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management and return to work programs
- Reporting any workers compensation matters to Management
- Ensure that all people work sensibly, safely and abide to all WHS & Environmental Acts and Regulations
- Conduct random D&A testing on site
- Identify health, safety, and environmental non-conformances, conduct investigations and develop solutions for implementation
