We’re looking for a Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of strategic, high-impact projects across our Publishing Operations portfolio. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role that will see you driving complex programs from concept to completion — managing teams, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring delivery of outcomes that make a real difference.If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love collaborating with talented people, and have a knack for turning plans into results, this role is for you.**About the role:*** This is a 12-month full-time contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.* This position can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, or Sydney* Lead end-to-end delivery of key business transformation projects.* Manage internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Executives, to align and drive outcomes.* Chair steering committee meetings and communicate project updates and risks clearly and proactively.* Define, track, and report on key milestones, ensuring strong governance and adherence to delivery frameworks.* Partner with Finance Business Partners to track and report on project financials.* Develop and execute change and communication strategies that support smooth adoption across the business.* Drive a high-performance culture through effective goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.* Champion resilience and continuous improvement through effective change management.* 5+ years’ experience delivering business transformation projects in complex, dynamic environments.* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results on time and within scope.* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders.* Strong communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to simplify complexity.* Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities.* Hands-on delivery focus, with a flexible approach to stakeholder needs.* Solid understanding of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.* Experience with change management and communications as part of project delivery.* Certification in PRINCE2, PMP, or similar is highly desirable.* A background in business analysis and strong commercial acumen will be highly regarded.**News Benefits**News Benefits is our way of saying thank you to our people for their valued contribution to News, our audiences, clients and communities.
