Overview
OpenX is seeking a Publisher Development Director with significant sales and partnership experience in the programmatic ecosystem to join our Publisher Development Team. This executive will represent OpenX to leading publishers and other supply partners. The focus of this role will be on finding strategic, long-term supply partnerships across CTV and other formats, as well as working with existing strategic publishers to deepen partnerships and grow revenue. The role will report to the Senior Director of Publisher Development, APAC.
We are looking for a revenue-led sales leader, who is a highly motivated self-starter with executive relationships at leading publishers. This person is an expert in identifying the needs and pain points of our partners and matching OpenX solutions to solve those challenges and grow the business. They have a deep understanding of OpenX products and industry trends and use that knowledge to be the trusted advisor for our partners. A proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals is a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and onboard new supply partnerships with the most premium publishers in Australia and New Zealand.
- Partner with Account Management to own a book of top premium existing publishers and manage all aspects of the business including revenue goals, exec relationships/touchpoints, contracts, and account plans.
- Identify new market opportunities and bring actionable feedback to help grow key areas of the OpenX business including our CTV marketplace, Retail Media partnerships, and our strategy for a cookie-less future.
- Partner with OpenX buy-side teams to strategise, educate, and execute agency and brand deals on the OpenX platforms.
- Work directly with product teams to provide key market feedback and insights to help shape the OpenX product roadmap.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for specific industry or OpenX initiatives.
- Represent OpenX as a brand ambassador at various industry events and conferences.
- Mentoring Business Development colleagues, and empowering the team to achieve its full potential.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of programmatic sales experience in SSP ad tech or at a programmatic publisher
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota targets and leading successful partnerships with top tier clients
- Deep programmatic industry knowledge and strong understanding of the CTV landscape
- Ability to engage in strategic conversations with senior level executives
- Exceptional verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
- High energy, self-motivated and passionate about working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Candidates must have working rights in Australia.
The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $170,000 per year.
