Maintenance Controller – Orchard Operations

Olam is a leading global integrated supply chain manager, processor and grower of agricultural products and food ingredients, supplying various products across 16 platforms to over 13,000 customers worldwide. In Australia & New Zealand, we operate multiple products including cocoa, dairy, and almonds.

Overview

The Maintenance Controller supports the Orchard Manager in ensuring orchard and harvest equipment is available at all times. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment to meet operational requirements and deliver long‑term sustainability of orchard assets.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Orchard Manager with the planning, monitoring, and management of key deliverables to achieve long‑term sustainability of orchard equipment.

- Liaise with contractors to ensure timelines and scoped works are conducted within planned maintenance programs in a safe environment.

- Support the development of the master equipment matrix and record individual equipment activities.

- Participate in building a team culture within Olam Almond Orchards.

Qualifications

- Hands‑on trade‑qualified or relevant experience with an output focus, able to think on feet, troubleshoot, and lead a team.

- Small team management experience, understanding of agricultural operations, and reasonable computer skills.

- Energy, drive, and perseverance through long seasons with business and financial acumen or a willingness to learn.

- Excellent interpersonal, team leadership, and high‑performance team culture skills.

- Must be confident of passing pre‑employment medical and drug screen as we have a zero‑tolerance policy to drugs.
