Job Description

- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Mine inventories and stockpiling modelling.
- Management of advanced payments and prepayments with the site team in Africa
- Analyse project costs and variances to ensure accurate financial tracking.
- Support project teams with financial insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address financial queries and concerns.
- WIP reporting and forecasting
- Maintenance of fixed asset register in Pronto
- Monitor cash flow and provide updates to senior management.
- Assist in project audits and financial reviews as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Accountant should have:

- A full CA or CPA Qualification
- Operational mining and Pronto systems experience
- Mine inventories and stockpile modelling
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Experience in the Energy & Natural Resources industry is highly regarded.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with stakeholders.
