We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team on a Major Construction project in Karratha. There is a very attractive salary package with site uplift and PCB on offer and will see the successful incumbent working on a 2:1 roster. As the Project Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial management support and assistance for the execution of project works by compiling and submitting on time and accurate progress claims and cost reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project accounting activities, including cost tracking, invoicing and review project budgets and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Analyze project financial data and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project forecasting and reporting
• Coordinate with corporate accounting to ensure accurate and timely project financial reporting
• Review and approve project-related invoices, expenses, and payments
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for project stakeholders
• Provide financial leadership and support to the project team

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience in project accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with project accounting software and ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Willingness to work on-site at the project location
