Finance Special Projects and Systems Analyst

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Special Projects and Systems Analyst to join our company in our Perth Office on a fixed term 12-month parental leave contract, to assist our national team with a variety of ongoing projects and overseeing the payroll responsibility for the company.

Please note that this is a fixed-term 12-month parental leave contract.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Special Projects and Systems Analyst will deliver Finance and Business improvements and recommendations that drive business strategy and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities will include:

• Partner with the Finance Director on finance initiatives that drive business improvement.

• Leading the project planning, execution, and control, guided by action plans and business cases,

• Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting that supports operational efficiency,

• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems,

• Support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new ways of working,

• Preparation of the weekly debtors report,

• Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy,

• Managing and building finance Power BI dashboards,

• Handle Pronto, Redmap & Concur system and user concerns, escalating and resolving as needed, and raising support tickets.

• Responsible for the creation, termination, and modification of employee login credentials,

• Training of new starters on Pronto & Redmap,

• Addressing any Pronto & Redmap system questions from the business including shared services,

• Be responsible for conducting user acceptance testing across both Pronto and Redmap for all business requirements,

• Create and remove Concur projects and work orders as needed for credit card allocation,

• Manage the allocation and adjustment of credit card limits for employees within the HSBC system

• Serve as the primary backup for payroll during leave and public holidays, managing weekly payroll, employee onboarding/offboarding, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end journal entries,

• Covering the responsibilities of the Project Accountant including populate and distribute Austral Valuation Reports (AVR's), creating client invoicing and loading into respective databases, project creation in Pronto, AR & WIP reporting),

• Cover the responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner regarding orders on hand when needed,

• Cover the responsibilities of the Senior Finance Analyst regarding Overheads and the people report when needed,

• Provide as back up coverage for the finance team during end of month reporting (including Tagetik, Contract Margin, Overheads),

• Provide timely information and support to both external and internal auditors as required,

• Provide project and operational support as required,

• Assist Finance Director with ad hoc business requirements.

• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy, adapting to a rapidly changing environment,

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes,

• Well-developed analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills,

• Awareness of technology and developments within the discipline.

Position requirements:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting

• CA/CPA qualified or working towards

• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills

• Experience with Pronto or similar ERP.

• Previous experience with management of ERP's including process flows
