Overview
Older lady Mary would love a friend to have a coffee and a chat with. She lives in Boronia and would love some company. Mary is friendly, loves music and enjoys a chat. It would be great to find her a volunteer to visit her once a fortnight.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) supports isolated and lonely people who are receiving aged care services in an aged care home or through a home care package.
The program encourages volunteers to provide friendship and companionship to older people on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
