Are you a health and safety professional ready to make an impact in a heavy industry environment? We're looking for a motivated Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at Vales Point Power Station. In this important role, you'll support and influence safe working practices across the site, provide expert advice, and drive initiatives that ensure our people go home safe every day.

What You'll Do:

- Provide Expert Safety Advice: Support our people across the site with professional health and safety guidance to promote and maintain a strong safety culture.

- Learning and Event Response: Facilitate open, constructive responses to safety events that focus on learning, collaboration, and sustainable improvements in work practices.

- Promoting Occupational Health and Wellbeing: Collaborating with occupational health professionals to support health surveillance programs, as well as contributing to the development and promotion of workplace wellbeing programs.

- Training and Engagement: Develop and deliver engaging training that builds capability in risk management, emergency response, and safe work practices, fostering shared ownership of safety across the business.

- Injury Management and Emergency Preparedness: Provide occupational first aid, injury management support, and ensure effective systems for returning injured workers to site. Support the development and testing of emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures and first aid readiness.

- Data and Reporting: Collect, analyse, and report on safety data to support compliance with legislation, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring:

- Degree qualifications in WH&S Management, Applied Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualifications and/or experience.

- Strong knowledge of current safety legislation and the ability to integrate these requirements into practical, people-focused solutions that support safe and reliable work.

- Proven experience in applying safety management systems, facilitating learning-focused investigations, and supporting continual improvement in health and safety.

- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels and manage confidential or sensitive information appropriately.
