As a Health Clinician with the Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP), you'll play a vital role in the tri-agency response to serious child abuse matters, working alongside NSW Police and the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).
In This Role, You Will- Provide health support to children, young people and their non-offending family members
- Coordinate case management within JCPRP
- Facilitate referrals and work with NSW Health facilities to arrange medical and forensic assessments, as well as psychosocial support

Where You'll Be WorkingThis position is based within the Child and Family Allied Health Team at Tamworth Community Health Service, part of the wider Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) network. You'll join a large, multidisciplinary paediatric team that values connection, collaboration and mutual support.
About YouWe'd love to hear from you if you bring:
- Experience in providing child protection responses within complex and challenging environments
- The ability to collaborate effectively with interagency partners in high-stress situations, with strong communication and liaison skills
- Confidence in managing competing priorities while balancing the responsibilities of NSW Health, JCPRP, and the best interests of children, young people and their families
- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor's degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of social workers; or a four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology or a qualification deemed equivalent by the employer which provides full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia; or a bachelor's degree in counselling or a related field, or other qualification deemed relevant by the employer.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW
- Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis. If your contract ends before the agreed completion date, you may be required to repay a portion of the incentive. Check eligibility at Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
