The Role

As a Commis chef, you will be reporting directly to the Head Chef and working with a team of talented chefs. If you have experience working in fast-paced cafés, restaurants, functions and events environments delivering premium quality, we would love to hear from you. We have full-time and casual roles available.

Key Skills:

- Attention to Detail: Precision in following recipes and portion sizes.
- Teamwork: Working effectively as part of a kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and practicing safe work food handling.
- Adaptability: Learning new techniques and adapting to different kitchen sections and duties in busy restaurant.
- Following Instructions: Accurately taking and executing direction from senior chef.
- Basic Cooking: Preparing simple elements of dishes, such as basic salads, sauce and hot dishes in different cuisines.
- Station Rotation: Moving between different workstations to learn various culinary areas, such as meat, fish, salads and desserts.

To be successful in this role:

- Minimum 1+ years' chef experience
- Able to work five days per week across a 7-day roster
- High volume production kitchen experience to support our inbound market
- Chef qualifications or trade experience equivalent
- Flexible and willing attitude, clear communication and customer service skills
- Exceptional grooming and pride in presentation
