The Role

As a Commis chef, you will be reporting directly to the Head Chef and working with a team of talented chefs. If you have experience working in fast paced cafés, restaurants, functions and events environments delivering premium quality, we would love to hear from you. We have full time and casual roles available.

Key Skills

- Attention to Detail:- Precision in following recipes and portion sizes.
- Teamwork:- working effectively as part of a kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Hygiene & Safety:- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and practicing safe work food handling.
- Adaptability:- Learning new techniques and adapting to different kitchen sections and duties in busy restaurant.
- Following Instructions:- Accurately taking and executing direction from senior chef.
- Basic Cooking:- Preparing simple elements of dishes, such as basic salads , sauce and Hot din different cuisines.
- Station Rotation:- Moving between different workstations to learn various culinary area, such as meat, Fish, Salads and Desserts.

To be successful in this role

- Minimum 1+ years' chef experience
- Able to work five days per week across a 7 day roster
- High volume production kitchen experience to support our inbound market
- Chef qualifications or trade experience equivalent
- Flexible and willing attitude, clear communication and customer service skills
- Exceptional grooming and pride in presentation
