Task & Responsibilities

1. Developing and managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, maintaining records of financial transactions, and implementing cost‑control measures.

2. Developing and implementing promotional campaigns, seasonal events, and marketing initiatives to drive customer engagement and revenue growth.

3. Analyzing monthly business performance, preparing reports, and making operational decisions based on results.

4. Conferring with customers to handle enquiries, feedback, reservations and complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained.

5. Planning and designing menus in consultation with the chefs and owners, ensuring food quality and consistency.

6. Supervise and mentor staff across floor service, kitchen, and reservations.

7. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, liaising with suppliers to ensure stock availability and records of financial transactions.

8. Overseeing compliance with workplace health and safety, liquor licensing, food hygiene regulations, and ensuring the restaurant is clean, functional, and suitably presented.

9. Collaborate with owners and head chefs to set service standards and implement new procedures including planning menus.

10. Develop staff rosters and manage onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.

- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and OHS standards.

- Ensuring and reporting daily kitchen operations, food safety standards and proper mentoring of kitchen staff to meet customer needs.

- Assist in food preparation while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

- Strong financial and commercial acumen to identify sales opportunities to impact positively on the profitability of the business.

- Lead and develop the Food Restaurant Services team, including recruitment, rostering, training, and fostering a positive team culture.

- Manage stock control, purchasing, cost analysis, and equipment maintenance to support efficient operations.

- Drive quality improvement initiatives, contribute to policy development, and support budget planning and cost efficiency.

- Coordinating, organising and leading different functions and events held on site or off the site.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a comparable Restaurant and hotel hospitality Services.

- Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or related discipline.

- Proven knowledge and practical experience in food safety regulations and compliance.

- Demonstrated success in managing high‑volume, cook‑fresh and/or cook‑chill food service operations at a senior level.

- Experience in delivering services within a customer‑focused organisation.

Other Requirements

- Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a current National Police Clearance.

- Full working rights in Australia are required for this position.

Desirable

- Strong organisational and administrative skills, including proficiency in relevant computer systems.

- Experience in quality assurance systems and standards.
