We are offering a permanent position for a Process Engineer to join our Process Engineering team as part of our Cochlear Brisbane Operations division based in Newstead.As part of a larger cohort of Engineering talent, the Process Engineer will work collaboratively with a diverse group of people to develop stable and reliable manufacturing processes for new and existing products, support quality, yield and efficiency initiatives or execute manufacturing network optimisation projects to expand Cochlear’s manufacturing capabilities to help our recipients Hear now. And always.**Please note: we are particularity looking for professionals who have experience in** **Semiconductor Cleanroom**Experience introducing Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes (Screen Printing, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow), experience working on semiconductor cleanroom processes such as:**Responsibilities include:** Support the introduction of new processes, equipment and materials, including equipment installation, calibration, WH&S assessments and associated technical and process documentation (e.g. Work Instructions, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) in accordance to Cochlear’s QMS requirements.As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical / Electrical / Biomedical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.Shall have proven experience developing and introducing manufacturing processes.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPointExperience in a process development role within a highly regulated industry (Medical Device and/or Electronics Manufacturing industry experience preferred).Working knowledge of DFSS/DMAIC tools, KT Problem Solving & Decision Making, PDCA and DOE’s and applying these tools in the characterization, optimization and troubleshooting of process equipment and technology performance.Experience working with statistical software (e.g. MINITAB) is desirable for this role.**Cochlear Summary**Cochlear’s mission is to help people hear and be heard.
