This role would suit a mid-senior Process Engineer with a strong technical background in Chemical/Process Engineering. As a Lead Process Engineer, you will:

- Provide expertise and manage process design through engineering phases from concept/select, FEED through to detailed design and delivery.
- Proactively communicate with Project Managers and Team Members to ensure Projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage and track single-discipline projects.
- Write technical reports as required.
- Prepare proposals and tenders (hours estimation and scope definition) for new and ongoing works.
- Provide technical guidance to develop junior engineers.
- Source new clients and leverage existing relationships to promote the Process offering and drive opportunities.

As a Lead Process Engineer, you will have:

- Process Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 15+ years process design experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- CPEng or CEng/RPEQ registration
- Excellent skills in using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim, and DNV PHAST software packages.
- Sound knowledge of process safety including risk identification and assessment through HAZID/HAZOP, dispersion/radiation analysis, and hazardous area classification.
- Skills in preparing PFD's, P&ID's, heat and material balances, instruments and equipment data sheets, utilities flow diagrams, and chemical consumption/effluent summaries.
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability and experience in providing technical support through the full lifecycle of the projects, ranging from feasibility and concept select studies through to FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
- Ability to be hands on, flexible and work autonomously on multiple projects.
- A confident communicator and team player with the ability to drive projects and clients’ success.
- Highly skilled in mentoring Junior Engineers and building a positive working environment.
- Skills in tackling conflicting deadlines and managing them by prioritization.
- HAZOP / LOPA Facilitator experience and accreditation desirable, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian and International Standards.
- A mix of consulting and operational experience would be an advantage.
