This is a **non-people leading** role, focused on technical leadership and delivery within the non-functional testing domain. The Department is responsible for the ongoing development and smooth operation of Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS) and the Fast Settlement Service (FSS), the day-to-day management of Exchange Settlement Accounts, and back-office settlement of transactions arising from the Bank's open market operations and reserves management trades. The Department also provides a low-value clearing service to payments system participants for the exchange of cheque and direct entry payment files.**About the role**We are looking for an experienced **Test Lead - Non-Functional Testing** who will be a part of an FSS Platform program which involves key enhancements to NPP technology and/or infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the successful non-functional testing of applications being migrated, ensuring seamless functionality within the modernized infrastructure. The role is based in our organisations Head Office.**Key objectives*** Collaborate with project stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to understand non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.* Develop, review, and execute non-functional test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate application and infrastructure change outcomes.* Ensure comprehensive test coverage for migrated applications/infrastructure, identifying and mitigating risks to quality.* Implement NFT Test strategies and plans that are appropriate to address the risk and complexity of the projects or initiatives.* Conduct end-to-end and regression testing (NFT) for applications impacted by migration activities.* Maintain, execute test automation suites (NFT), and report findings proactively.* Maintain test data and ensure environment conflicts are minimised through pro-active management.* Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with the development and migration teams.* Provide detailed test execution reports, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.* Provide second-level support to PS Operations and PS Settlements, this includes training, handover, and support documentations.* Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.**About you*** Proven expertise and experience in non-functional testing, especially performance testing and failover testing.* Minimum 7 years of experience in non-functional testing across complex systems and domains* Expertise in implementing non-functional testing frameworks and tools.* Proficient in running performance testing and monitoring tools such as **JMeter**, AppDynamics and Kibana.* Proficient in using defect and test management tools such as JIRA and QMetry.* Extensive experience in planning, management, support and testing of non-functional changes to mission critical systems.* Exposure to Swift Messaging and ISO/Interact service testing, Sterling testing is highly desirable.* Experience with the NPP platform and concepts related to payments testing is advantageous.* Ability to analyse migration impacts and translate them into effective test cases.* Advanced experience in payments and settlements systems, services, and operations.* Basic understanding of infrastructure modernisation concepts, even if not directly involved in infrastructure testing is highly preferred.* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and resolving defects.* Effective communication skills to effectively articulate test results and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.* Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.**Be More** Working for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the people of Australia, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports your growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility.
