We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Italian teacher to join our dynamic Languages Department from Term 1, 2026. This permanent, full-time position provides an opportunity for a creative and highly talented educator to teach Italian classes for Years 7-12. The successful candidate will have a clear commitment to educating boys in this discipline and the ability to create learning environments that ensure the highest standard in the delivery of our Italian language program.

For the right candidate, an opportunity may also exist to lead the Italian teaching team.

Responsibilities and role

The successful applicant will be expected to:

- Teach Italian to Years 7–12, with ability to teach to VCE level

- Deliver a world-class curriculum and understand language learning needs

- Relate to children and young people and contribute to the whole school program

- Maintain confidentiality and manage complex and competing issues

- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental leadership as appropriate

Qualifications and requirements

- Values of excellence, respect, responsibility and reverence

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with integrity and compassion

- Mastery of subject knowledge and experience teaching Italian to VCE level

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in Italian language teaching

- Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing

- Current Employee Working with Children check or VIT

- Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality
