Overview

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Italian teacher to join our dynamic Languages Department from Term 1, 2026. This permanent, full-time position provides an opportunity for a creative and highly talented educator to teach Italian classes for Years 7-12. The successful candidate will have a clear commitment to educating boys in this discipline and the ability to create learning environments that ensure the highest standard in the delivery of our Italian language program.

For the right candidate, an opportunity may also exist to lead the Italian teaching team.

Responsibilities

- Teach Italian to Years 7-12, including VCE level when applicable

- Contribute to delivering a world-class language curriculum and support diverse language learning needs

- Foster positive learning environments and relationships with students

- Collaborate with the Languages Department and broader school programs

- Uphold the school’s values of excellence, respect, responsibility and reverence

- Maintain confidentiality and manage complex and competing issues with professionalism

Qualifications

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in Italian language teaching

- Mastery of subject knowledge and experience teaching Italian to VCE level

- Current Employee Working with Children check or VIT

- Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with integrity and compassion
