Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately 250 staff across multiple awards and pay cycles. Experience with ELMO payroll software is ideal but not essential, as training can be provided.
This role requires someone who is familiar with award interpretation, has strong attention to detail, and can work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time for approximately 250 employees across various awards.
- Manage two weekly pay cycles and three fortnightly pay cycles.
- Interpret and apply the following awards to ensure compliance:
- Manufacturing Award
- Amusement Award
- Retail Award
- Road Transport Award
- Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services (SCAHDS) Award
- Hospitality Award
- Maintain employee records in the payroll system (ELMO).
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely manner.
- Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and audits as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of award interpretation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple pay cycles effectively.
- Experience using ELMO payroll software or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with the listed awards (Clerks, Manufacturing, Amusement, Retail, Road Transport, SCAHDS, Hospitality).
