We are currently seeking an Application Specialist to join us in our Perth office.

About the role

The Application Specialist will assume three pivotal roles within the Innovations team.

Your primary responsibility will involve offering comprehensive product knowledge, pre-sales assistance, and tailored solutions to ensure that our customers receive the optimal products for their specific requirements. Leveraging your profound understanding of ComAp controllers and power generation equipment, you will serve as a critical resource in enabling informed decision-making for our valued clientele.

The second aspect of the role involves providing comprehensive after-sales support to our existing customers. ComAp executes projects for a diverse clientele, and our commitment to real-time assistance is paramount. This support encompasses everything from specialised advice on controllers, to helping customers gain a deeper understanding of any issues they may encounter.

The third aspect centres around customer training. The selected candidate will be accountable for designing, curating, and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on the practical operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ComAp controllers and associated power generation equipment. A thorough grasp of ComAp controllers and their practical application in power generation environments will be critical in effectively carrying out these training initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in innovation and technologies within the energy market.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive product knowledge, pre-sales and after-sales assistance, and tailored solutions to customers.
- Provide external customer training.
- Maintain a professional relationship with suppliers and customers, proactively responding to queries.
- Alerting stakeholders to early issues or potential risks and provide alternative solutions.
- Regular monitoring of performance against quotes.
- Positive engagement with colleagues across all departments.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on the development of existing products, including the identification of product gaps and development of new improved products.

Please note: Frequent intra-state and interstate travel (as well as occasional overseas travel) may be a requirement of the position.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of technical know-how, in addition to the following key requirements:

- Extensive knowledge of existing ComAp products and other products on the market.
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or be an experienced Electrical Technician with relevant skills and experience (we will consider an equivalent qualification &/or relevant experience).
- Knowledge of control system design of grid power systems.
- Knowledge of embedded generator regulation with DNSPs across Australia.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- An openness to alternatives and a solution-based approach to working.
- Australian residency with unrestricted work eligibility.

Why ComAp?

You will join a growing global organisation with 15 subsidiaries around the world, offering opportunities to collaborate globally, and with the potential for international travel.

We offer competitive remuneration with impressive packages including variable pay initiatives.

Working with ComAp will see you expand your skills and experience through working on a wide variety of projects and continuous learning opportunities.

You will join an energised and highly collaborative team, working in a supportive environment with a unique corporate culture.
