We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a unique Application Specialist to join the RAAFA team We're looking for that exceptional individual to help drive success and make a real impact across our organisation.

We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Assistant to join our fantastic Central Support Office and contribute to our purpose.
As our Application Specialist you will be responsible for managing and maintaining business applications within the organisation. The role will partner with business application owners, ICT staff, software vendors, and external contractors ensuring the applications meet business needs and RAAFA's security requirements.
Application Specialist and the role:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to evaluate, develop, configure, implement and manage RAAFA's applications, including performing and coordinating routine maintenance tasks.
- Provide support to business application system administrators to resolve issues within the application, escalating urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources and vendors.
- Identify and document business processes, provide recommendations for process improvements and implement enhancements in consultation with direct manager.
- Provides application support for internal users and technical system administration for specified applications, including training where appropriate.
- Ensure system updates and vulnerability patching are kept up to date as per vendor releases and recommendations.
- Update and maintain system documentation, such as (but not limited to) technical manuals and design specifications.
- Participate in the evaluation of new systems, collaborating with technical teams to develop documentation and uphold RAAFA security standards while facilitating change management processes.
- Coordinate deployments of application/product releases from Test, UAT to Production environments.
- Support implementation/upgrade of business applications via assistance with: System configuration & Data migration and cleansing.
- Test scripts development: User training.Undertake technical and user acceptance testing.
- Provide support in projects as indicated by the Business Systems Manager.

To be successful in this role:
- Experience and working knowledge in scripting and query languages such as SQL, JavaScript and CSS.
- Experience and working knowledge in form automation platforms such as Laserfiche or Microsoft Forms and other automation platforms.
- Understanding of integration platforms, connection methodologies, and concepts.
- Experience and working knowledge in consuming web services and resources via APIs.
- Experience in business application implementation, including the ability to write test scripts and user reference material and perform user acceptance testing.
- Experience and working knowledge in supporting business applications and working with various vendors.
- Knowledge in the below systems is advantageous: iCareHealth, NurseCall, Complicare, PainCheck, Mirrus, Alayacare, NERA, CarelinkPLUS
- Good understanding of role-based authentication, application roles, and security.
- Strong knowledge of system administration, problem solving and analysis skills.
- It is highly desirable to have Not for Profit experience / exposure to Residential Care, Retirement Living and Homecare Sectors.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
- Well-developed communication (written, verbal and listening), interpersonal and customer service skills to develop effective relationships and communicate at all levels.
- Ability to analyse business process, understand the relationships between various functional areas, identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrated flexible approach and ability to work autonomously using initiative to ensure an effective and proactive administration service is delivered.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
