As an OpenShift Architect, you will be the principal authority for designing enterprise-scale container platforms for our major clients. You won't just create blueprints; you will own the solution from pre-sales and discovery through to implementation, acting as the key technical guide for both the client and our delivery team. You will be solving the hard problems of platform modernisation, cost-reduction, and security at scale. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift platforms (OCP) on-premise and across hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure). Act as the technical authority in client workshops, translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient platform designs. Define standards for CI/CD, DevSecOps, and GitOps, integrating with tools like Ansible Automation and Advanced Cluster Management (ACM). Develop technical roadmaps, migration strategies, and architectural blueprints for containerisation and application modernisation. Mentor Kestrel Eight consultants, providing technical oversight and ensuring best-practice delivery. What We're Looking For: Proven experience as an Architect, designing and deploying Red Hat OpenShift in large, complex enterprise environments. Deep technical expertise in Kubernetes, container runtimes, and microservices architecture. Strong understanding of hybrid cloud, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, and on-premise virtualisation (VMware). Expertise in platform automation (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. You must be "business-focused" and able to justify your technical decisions to C-level stakeholders. Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Architect) are highly desirable.
