About the role

As the Business Operations Analyst at Splend, you will support strategic decision-making by providing expert analytics, insightful reporting, and a deep understanding of both broader business operations and specific financial metrics. This role combines technical data analysis proficiency with substantial financial acumen, including an understanding of business unit economics, to align reporting and strategic initiatives with Splend's overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain reports that monitor key business and financial metrics, focusing on business unit economics to drive understanding and management of each unit's profitability
- Responsible for weekly and monthly operational and business reporting, providing comprehensive insights that are distributed across the business. This role ensures that all levels of management are well-informed about the financial and operational implications of business decisions through clear, concise, and strategic presentations
- Apply a deep understanding of business operations and market conditions to interpret data and analytics, ensuring that insights align with Splend’s strategic goals
- Work closely with various departments to gather data and insights, facilitating the integration of business strategy and awareness across the organization while ensure that strategic planning reflects the economic realities and potential of different business units
- Identify and champion improvements in the strategic and financial reporting processes, increasing both the accuracy and usefulness of the information provided
- Craft and deliver compelling presentations that effectively communicate strategic insights and findings to senior leadership and C-suite Team. These presentations should not only convey critical data but also tell a persuasive story that aligns with Splend’s strategic objectives

What you'll bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field, with a major in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
- Equivalent experience in financial analysis, business analytics, or a similar role may be considered
- Minimum 3+ years experience in a related role
- A proactive strategist and problem-solver with keen attention to financial detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively navigating and influencing within a complex organizational structure
- Exceptional communication skills, adept at presenting complex data in a clear and persuasive manner
