Senior Worker - Green Areas

Role
Join a passionate team dedicated to creating and maintaining green spaces. Use your skills to make a real difference in vibrant community spaces.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and care for high-profile areas, parks, gardens, ovals and green spaces across the city as part of a skilled team.
- Assist with planning and coordinating tasks to deliver high-quality, sustainable landscape management.
- Ensure community assets remain safe, attractive and well-maintained.
Requirements
Essential
- Certificate III in Horticulture (or an equivalent qualification), with extensive practical experience in horticulture, turf management, or open space maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and programming.
- Current and valid Class MR Driver’s License or higher.
- Basic computer skills.
- Broad experience in the operation of machinery, plant and equipment, hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated people management experience.
Desirable
- Chainsaw Competency Ticket
- Work zone Traffic Management Ticket
- Current Chem cert accreditation
- White Card
- Understanding of local government and Council’s structure, policies, functions and activities
Details
This position is permanent full-time and classified as a Grade 7 under the Campbelltown Field Staff Enterprise Agreement No 12, 2023 and the relevant Award.
The preferred candidates will need to undertake a pre-employment medical and submit a police clearance (funded by Council).
