About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support the Group Finance Manager in executing the company’s financial strategy and management activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Finance Manager, the Finance Director, and Killard’s international head office to ensure effective financial management, compliance, and resource allocation across infrastructure projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and reviewing budgetary and accounting strategies, policies, and plans.
- Preparation of financial statements, project cost reports, and management accounts.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
- Provide analytical support on capital finance proposals and project funding structures.
- Ensure compliance with AASB, IFRS, ATO obligations, and other statutory requirements.
- Develop accounting systems, ERP platforms, and internal controls.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and advisors under the guidance of the Group Finance Manager.
- Supervise junior finance staff and support professional development.
- Provide day-to-day support across administration and HR finance functions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
- CA & CPA qualification required.
- Minimum 8-10 progressive finance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS, and taxation compliance.
- Experience in project accounting and cost management, preferably in construction or infrastructure.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA desirable) Tally and advanced Excel.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Team-oriented with ability to support the Group Finance Manager and mentor junior staff.
Specialised Knowledge
- Exposure to international reporting systems and policies.
- Familiarity with cross-border finance operations and global governance standards.
- Ability to assist in harmonizing reporting and compliance frameworks with global systems.
