Job Description: As a Business Officer in the Project Support Services (PSS) Team, you’ll provide expert support across finance, governance, executive support and project administration to enable the successful delivery of digital health initiatives. The Role: Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional? Join the PSS Team within Health ICT and contribute to the success of digital health initiatives across Tasmania. As a Business Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects that improve health outcomes for Tasmanians. You’ll work closely with your Manager and colleagues to provide high-quality business, executive support and project administration services across finance, governance, resource management, and more The role delivers a range of business and/or project activities that enhance service delivery to achieve results. Within this context the role: - Develops and provides advice, guidance, and support in one or more of the following: business improvement; customer service; event and/or learning management; information management; data collection and processing; business administration and/or project activities. - Works collaboratively within, and across, teams and with stakeholders to meet agreed briefs and branch service standards. - Proven ability to deliver business outcomes and exceptional services in a dynamic and complex environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and produce accurate documentation. - Experience in financial, executive support and administrative processes, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. - A collaborative mindset, with a passion for learning, innovation, and continuous improvement. - High self-awareness and the ability to model agile, flexible, and forward-thinking work practices in a team environment. Please Note: An organisational restructure is currently underway, which may result in this position being relocated to the Office of the Chief Information Officer. Further details will be provided during the interview process. You will need to: - Deliver expert business support services across financial operations, governance, executive support and project administration to drive seamless and efficient service delivery. - Coordinate and process financial transactions in line with government and departmental policies, contributing to accurate and transparent financial management. - Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to support the delivery of both project and business-as-usual outcomes, ensuring alignment with service standards and deadlines. - Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing business solutions, streamlining processes, and maintaining clear and effective documentation. - Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team environment by actively sharing expertise, supporting colleagues, and promoting a positive, inclusive work environment. Details of appointment: Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of six months. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum.Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
