Therapeutic Residential Care Worker - Country Talent Register

Division: Child Protection and Family Support

Position No: Pool Ref COM11825

Salary: Level 2, $99,985- $107,203 pa (includes 30% commuted allowance) pro rata + Super - PSCSAA 2024

Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Casual

Closing Date: 2025-10-02 4:00 PM

Fixed term employment includes 17.5% annual leave loading. Casuals receive an additional 25% loading allowance on top of the base salary; penalty rates may apply.

The Talent Register is an online portal to register interest for full-time and part-time opportunities that are fixed term/secondment up to twelve months, or transfers at level for existing permanent public sector employees. Responsibilities

- Work as a member of a team to achieve best outcomes for children and young people.
- Provide group and individual therapeutic residential care to children and young people.
- Assist in planning, developing, and implementing activities for children and young people.
- Work a rotating roster, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Must successfully pass a satisfactory medical and functional capacity examination based on the physical and psychological demands of the role.
- Must obtain a satisfactory Working with Children Check.
- Must hold a current accredited certificate in ‘Provide First Aid’.
- Complete compulsory 5-day Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training prior to commencement.
- Consent to criminal record screening and integrity checks during the application process may be required.
