Daily Telegraph seeks SEO content specialist

News Corp Australia masthead The Daily Telegraph has a new opening for an SEO content specialist.

The SEO content specialist is assigned to writing “evergreen” articles for the Daily Telegraph website. They will also liaise with the paper’s editorial team on editing their stories and optimizing them for higher search engine listings, to help attract more reader traffic to the site.

At the same time, the content specialist will also audit the website for on-page and off-page improvements, against studies of other news websites. The material may aid the Daily Telegraph management and stakeholders with identifying new opportunities to attract more digital traffic and advertisements.

The position will be open to candidates who have prior experience in a digital newsroom, can write current affairs and general interest topics, and track-down trending stories. They must be familiar with social media management and online marketing techniques, most particularly SEO content writing and keyword research.
