We are seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to join the team at Sydney International and Domestic Airport, providing technical expertise, maintenance, and customer support for advanced detection equipment used in a high-security airport environment.

What’s on Offer

- Competitive base salary PLUS annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary PLUS on call allowances
- Tools Provided: Laptop, phone, and tool kit supplied
- Shift Roster: Rotating shifts
- Contract Type: Permanent full-time (38 hrs/week)
- Location: Sydney NSW

Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, service, and repair high-tech X-ray and trace detection equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment faults
- Install and commission new equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronics issues (24V or less)
- Prepare reports, documentation, and contribute to process improvements
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and uphold strong safety practices

About You

- Certificate III Trade Qualification or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or IT
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in field service or maintenance
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
- Able to obtain and maintain required clearances (medical, background, and security)
