Apprentice Engineering Patternmaker

Metso is looking for an Apprentice Engineering Patternmaker to join their team in Ballina, New South Wales.

The opportunity to join Metso and continue developing your skills and be rewarded. A Foundry Engineering Patternmaker Apprentice will learn how to construct foundry patterns in a safe, timely and efficient manner as per instructions the Foundry Supervisor and Patternshop Team Leader. You are responsible for maintaining overall equipment and machinery in a good state of repair. You are also responsible for keeping up expected housekeeping standards.

THE POSITION

The role involves learning and developing skills in a foundry environment.

TO SUCCEED

- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- High level of enthusiasm and motivation towards a trade career.
- Good attention to detail and precision.
- A desire and drive for process improvement.
- Ability to set priorities and accomplish tasks within set timelines.
- Ability to build good working relationships and rapport.
- A strong commitment to both personal safety and the safety of others.
