Role

The Road Maintenance Worker works as a member within the Town’s Roads Maintenance crew. As a crew member, they provide general construction and maintenance services on roads, footpaths, lanes, verges, islands, carparks, crossovers, drainage, signs, traffic control, setting out, rubbish removal and clean-ups.

Selection Criteria

- Experience and knowledge in undertaking road construction and maintenance including other associated road reserve infrastructure activities.

- Demonstrate working knowledge of safe operation and user maintenance of relevant plant and equipment including hand tools.

- Demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to safe working practices in a maintenance and operations environment

- Sound written and verbal communication skills and numeracy skills.

- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and with limited direction.

- Right to work in Australia (birth certificate, current passport or current visa)

- Valid Driver's Licence

- Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate

- Current First Aid Qualification

- MR Class Drivers Licence or greater

- Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card or Blue Card)
